Terrie Hartman

Meet Terrie, a radiant yoga instructor who shines her light bright. Her positivity and calm nature are infectious. Her journey with yoga began when she was pregnant with her son. Later on in life, she gravitated back to her yoga practice and she earned her 200 RYT in 2016 through Embrace Yoga4Life’s instructor, Lynn Matthews, at Anne Arundel Community College.  She cultivated her passion for uniting mind, body, and spirit through the practice. Now that she has retired from teaching middle school, she can focus on this passion of teaching yoga to everyone. Terrie’s teaching style reflects her outgoing nature, as she infuses each class with warmth and compassion, creating a welcoming space for all. She is deeply committed to inclusivity, Terrie ensures that every student, regardless of age, ability, or background, feels supported and empowered on their yoga journey.

Her classes are a fusion of Hatha yoga principles and neurological research-based techniques, designed to nurture physical and mental strength along with inner peace. Whether guiding beginners or seasoned practitioners, Terrie encourages her students to listen to their bodies, honoring their unique abilities and limitations. She genuinely cares for her students and hopes to inspire them to cultivate self-awareness and self-love, both on and off the mat. With Terrie as your guide, you'll not only deepen your yoga practice but also embark on a transformative journey towards holistic well-being.

Terrie's dedication to her craft shines through in her knowledge and expertise, as she is not only a teacher of the practice, but also a practitioner. She has expanded her knowledge through gaining certifications in restorative yoga, yoga for athletes, chair yoga, subtle yoga, and ParaYoga Nidra. When Terrie is not teaching yoga, you may find her poolside teaching AquaFit, reading or painting by the water’s edge, hiking, walking her dog, substitute teaching, or hanging with her grandchildren.
